About
The word Takween in Arabic has various meanings, first it means formation, which is the act of having or taking form or existence; second it means form, which in art, allows us, as viewers, to mentally capture the work and understand it. Thus the meaning of Takween, becomes our service.
First, we are in the business of forming young Syrian artists, by creating for them means of exposure, in a sense we are their agent. Second, we provide within our community artistic appreciation by offering a variety of artistic representations and information: concerts, expositions, performances, print materials, CD registration.
